The shop is named after my dad.
My dad opened Dyer's Automotive on S Bank Street back in 2008. He'd been turning wrenches his whole life, and after years of working for other shops, he wanted to do it his way — fair prices, straight answers, no upsells, and the kind of repair you can hand the keys back on without an asterisk.
I grew up in this shop. I learned to read a multimeter before I learned long division. Today I run it, and the standard hasn't changed: if I wouldn't do the repair on my own family's car, I won't quote it on yours.
What that means in practice: we'll tell you when something's fine, even if you came in expecting bad news. We'll tell you when a repair isn't worth it on an older vehicle. And when a job needs to be done — a Jasper engine, a head gasket, a full exhaust — we'll do it once, do it right, and stand behind it.
